mine is fob @ avalon in january 07

Tegan and Sara @ The Pageant in May ‘08.

feist @ the pageant in august  ’07?

Dir en grey @ Terminal 5 in November ‘08

Nada Surf @ Studio A in June 08’

Tie between all 4 times I’ve seen Dan Deacon and Girl Talk and the one time I saw M83 in Feb.

Silver Jews at Neumo’s on my birthday in 2008, solely due to emotional significance.

Its really a tie between Rusted Root in 06’ @ The Fillmore or The first time I saw Rilo Kiley w/ Feist and The Brunettes opening @ The Grand in 05’

!!! (chk chk chk) in Royal Oak, MI 2008. Danced on stage with the band at the end with my friend. Totally unforgettable. Next best was Ted Leo and the Pharmacists when my same friend and I made him vegan cupcakes.

  • The Fountainhead (finish it, don’t abandon it)
  • Cat’s Cradle (re-read)
  • A Thousand Splendid Suns
  • In Cold Blood
  • the last three installments of A Series of Unfortunate Events? I never finished it and have no idea how it ended and it’s been close to five years, yet I own them all. they probably died in a fire, but don’t tell me.
  • more?

“When we gaze at the magnificence of an ancient monument and ascribe its achievement to one man, we are guilty of spiritual embezzlement. We forget the army of craftsmen, unknown and unsung, who preceeded him in the darkness of the ages, who toiled humbly — all heroism is humble— each contributing his small share to the common treasure of his time. A great building is not the private invention of some genius or other. It is merely a condensation of the spirit of a people.”

-The Fountainhead, Ayn Rand

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late, or in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.” —The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (via speakslowly)

I wish I could’ve posted happier news.

Looks like I am going to be uninstalling anything to do with this site as of right…. now. Fun while it lasted.

That sucks so hard.

V you seen this?

FUUUUUUU

Right.  So what now?  We all jump ship?  I have nothing to do with the streaming or even listening to music on the site and use is purely as a way to collate statistics about what I listen to (and see what my friends are listening to), but I’m guessing that doesn’t make me immune.

This is what happens when you sell out to the big boys.  DAMN YOU TO HELL, CBS.

NOOOOOO

!!!!
