So it goes.
Our next door neighbor, Betty, passed away this week. My golden retriever, Maddie, was her bff and Maddie has been going out to the fence in the backyard every day and sitting and waiting. Her family mentioned Maddie in the obituary and it is just so hearbreaking. She was such a spunky lady and she’ll be dearly missed.

First day of Winter semester:
